Abstract

The article analyzes the current situation regarding the political culture of Vietnamese youth within the process of digitalization and fast growth of social media networks. In accordance with the theory of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thoughts, the political standpoints of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and modern literature on digital communication, the article describes both positive aspects and problems of the political thinking, attitude, and behavior of Vietnamese youth in their current state. According to the research results, most Vietnamese youth are patriotic, socially responsible, dedicated, and engaged in various activities within their communities, innovations, and digitalization processes. Nevertheless, some Vietnamese youth do not pay attention to socio-political events and lack knowledge about the sources from which to obtain truthful information; thus, they become victims of misinformation and disinformation campaigns on the Internet. Thus, several measures should be taken concerning the problem.

Resumen
