Cultura Científica aims to strengthen and expand scientific culture in the region by integrating rigorous academic, scientific, and technological knowledge into everyday social and cultural life. The journal promotes reliable, high-quality scholarship that contributes to well-being, balanced development, and informed decision-making, while encouraging dialogue across disciplines and between research and practice. It also supports clear scientific communication through an accessible presentation style, including full-color and photography where appropriate.
Cultura Científica publishes interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work from the basic, social, human, and applied sciences, especially studies that connect scientific inquiry with regional needs, contexts, and cultural realities. Submissions may be theoretical, empirical, methodological, or applied, and may include original research articles, review papers, reflection/position papers, technical or methodological notes, and editorials.

Social sciences: education, sociology, economics, management, public policy, development studies
Human sciences & humanities: history and philosophy of science, communication, language, culture, ethics, and society–technology relations
Cross-cutting themes: sustainability, climate and environment, regional development, science education, science communication, and community-focused research
